I was born in Caracas, Venezuela on October 24th of 1995. I had a good life there until the crisis shadowed with menace my family's future and my well being.  Then, my mother and my stepdad had to make a decision: to leave Venezuela as a priority and live anywhere else so we can have a better future. Colombia was the host country that received us in 2013.

I left behind my friends and some important family members. I only carried with me their good wishes and the memories they left on my mind. The next I had to do was to adapt, move on and study what I like the most: Social Communication and Journalism in one of the best universities of the country.

Thing was that I couldn't pay for my studies abroad because our economy was constantly shortening due to some bad decisions we made after we got in a country where we didn't understand it's mechanics and culture. On second semester we had to sacrifice many luxuries we thought were normal. So after we could pay the first year of college, I had the responsibility to get a scholarship with my high grades. Since 4th semester I was able to study without worrying to pay at once USD$4,500. But I needed to pay the price with monthly fees -even after I graduate I still have to pay the loan-.

Now that I am in the last semester of my career, after 4 years of hard work and determination, after getting high grades and recognition from the University of La Sabana -Two times one of the winners at the short story contest, three times Teacher monitor, etc.-, I was selected to work in the U.S. for six months in a government company for Colombia's Country Brand, tourism and foreign investment.  This is a BIG opportunity for my professional and personal experience that I won't let pass.

Saddly, this clashed with a delicate family situation that we couldn't control and my family's economy went down again because of the debts and bills we owned to live in Colombia. Now, my only hope is to spare at least USD$1000 to pay the first month for a place to sleep and to pay for transportation in Miami. Even though, if I can't reach the top of the fundraising campaign, I will travel to the U.S. even if I have to sleep on a couch for days or lobbies just to live and reach my dreams.

I am capable to sacrifice everything, I will take any chance that guarantee my wishes and hopes, I have no fear to fight for my dreams and no shame if it takes anything that will help me get money there (without giving up my morals and personal values).

The only thing I ask for is for some solidarity, humility and human compassion to help me get the money for my dreams. It doesn't matter if you could give me your best wishes or $5. I just want to be listened, read and understood. Because maybe I am walking on sharp stones barefoot on a mountain, but I don't want to fail this life's or God's testing, I want to succeed and become a professional communicator and journalist. I want to serve the people and I want to be so grateful with those that lend me their hands to go up.

To those who will back me up, I promise I will be grateful and I won't let this chance pass. This is the best opportunity that life has given me and I won't ignore it or trash it. This is to my family, which I'll help with the money I'll gain with this experience.

To me, this is a chain of favours. To those who will help me I guarantee that I'll help you back if you need it and I'll support more people for their dreams. 'Cause I know how is life when everything gets you down and you are hopeless and nobody who is good deserves it.

Please share my website, my story and my dreams. Because this is the begining for something bigger.

Thank you and God bless you.

Sincerely,

Maxddybi Incorvati
